I’m hiding naked in my closet because there are mattress delivery men in my bedroom and no one thought to tell me so I was just doing my naked thing after my shower and then I was very unceremoniously shoved into my closet and I don’t know how long I have to be here I don’t have snacks or anything

update: I found a chocolate bar on my shelf but also my phone battery is at 20% I feel like bear grylls

don’t you have clothes in your closet

listen fan fiction can be a great thing, fan fiction lets people explore their sexuality and gender in a safe controlled environment, fan fiction allows creative people to channel their creative energy into something that really matters to them and other people, fan fiction allows people to feel apart of a community if they feel like they don’t have that in their life outside of the internet, i’m so pro fan fiction it’s wild, i love fan fiction, i love the idea of fan fiction, i even love that people get off to fan fiction instead of porn, it’s all great

but fan fiction also has a dark side that is used as an excuse for a lot of harmful “kinks” because it can be passed off as just “fiction” fiction isn’t just fiction when it impacts the way people look at themselves and the world around them in a negative way, when it’s harming a young person’s brain to the point of them thinking they want to engage in activities they may not be ready for, fiction is no longer just fiction when it gives pedophiles and rapists something to read and imagine and play out their own fantasies to

"it’s not real life" but the things that happen in fan fictions happen to real people in real life, a story about harry styles falling in love with his rapist is offensive to people who have been put through that situation, a story about a abusive relationship being romanticized bc "if the character just loves the abusive character enough they’ll change" is offensive to abuse victims, the excuse of "it’s all fake" doesn’t mean shit when it happens to real people and then their situations are turned around and flipped upside down to justify harmful situations
